Wordsworth's Lakes District

I’ll leave William Wordsworth – Romantic Poet from 1770 to 1850 (I'm sitting in his writing hut in his garden), to reflect on the countryside and life here in the Lakes District…
‘Tis the sense
Of majesty and beauty and repose,
A blended holiness of earth and sky-
Something that makes this individual spot,
This abiding place of many men..
A whole without dependance or defect,
Made for itself and happy in itself,
Perfect contentment, unity entire.
